Mock Beef Stroganoff

A much revised, much loved recipe from Simple & Delicious Jan-Feb 2009 edition.

Mock Beef Stroganoff
Servings: 6

Ingredients:
1 lb 93% lean ground beef

1 tsp onion powder
1.5 cups water
2 envelopes Low Sodium McCormick Brown Gravy mix
2 cups (16 oz) Low fat sour cream
1 12 oz package Egg Noodle (calculated with No Yolks)
 
Directions:
Cook noodles according to package.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown the beef and onion powder.
When browned, add in gravy packets and water.  Bring to boil and simmer until sauce thickens.
Remove from heat & stir in sour cream.
Serve pasta topped with meat mixture.
NI: 424 cals, 9 g fat, 57 mg chol, 478 mg sodium, 53 carbs, 3 g fiber, 27 g protein
