An Inspired Layout

I loved Kerry's Template posted on her blog today.  And then, I happened upon Sara's blog about scrapping the everyday moments.  And when I found the kit offered as the Design House Digital Monday freebie kit from Deena Rutter, well, it was obvious what story I needed to tell.  The Family Blocks offered by Kerry at Twopeas was a great way to finish off my layout.

I had such a wonderful day with my preschooler after a few really rough ones following our recent move.  I was getting really concerned but today showed marked signs that we're all doing well & this too shall pass with patience, support and continued understanding from me.  I often only scrap the good times (and obviously, take pictures of the good ones), but this is a time I don't want to forget not just because I'm proud of how he's done and how we've all done, but because it's part of his past, his character and his year, just like all the other happy times.  And I want him to understand that it's always okay to be sad, to not be 100% as we used to say growing up.  It's what you learn and how you grow from those times that's matters.
