Muffin Tin Monday: Birds

I admit that I was skeptical on the prompt of birds for a lunch theme, but we definitely had a success!  The kids both ate from their muffin tins for a good 20-25 minutes!  The lunch was:
A- Cinnamon Sugar Almonds (Seeds- something birds eat); B- Spaghetti with butter and parmesan cheese (Nests); C- Naked Chicken Nuggets (Chicken!); D- Corn (Seeds- more things birds eat)  E- Blueberries (Fruits that birds eat) F- Red Pepper strips stuck in hummus (Sticks that birds use to build their nests with).

Not shown but requested after was the organic Pooh animal crackers from Costco.  My preschooler correctly identified which of Pooh's friends was a bird :)

While I made lunch, I had the kids color pictures of Geese.  We've had gosslings hatch and been driving past them often to watch them grow up which is why I picked Geese.  We hung them proudly on the fridge to show Daddy when he gets home.
