March in Review: March

April 1st is a funny day... 6 years ago my husband told our waitress it was my birthday.  It wasn't.  And it was even funnier given that I was expecting a ring that didn't come until just around midnight the next night.  It's continued in one form or another every year... and this one, he got me by having a friend post a Happy Birthday message on my FB page which of course turned in lots of love from friends, some of whom probably do believe today is my birthday. Oh well.  I'm loved. ;)
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Cooking Light

What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
Inception!  Incredible!!!

What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
I had a lot of parties this month- 6 in home shows to be exact!  So, I got out and met a bunch of people and had a really great time.  My mom, sister and her kids came down to visit one Sunday.  And my husband was TDY a lot this past month so we did get the chance to see a lot of friends including dinner with one family, and our usual Monday morning playdates with a really awesome group of mommies.

What gifts did I give and/or receive?
I didn't give many gifts this month- in fact still owe my neice her birthday gift since we didn't make it to the party due to whooping cough.  We received a wonderful gift of certificates to use to make Daddy Dolls for the kids.  April is the Month of the Military Child in case you weren't aware.  (Please: Think of a special child in your life affected by the changes and sacrifice of our nation's military members and take a moment to pray for them. )
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
My downline has an incredible month!  And as a result, I bought a Nook from the override!  Thanks ladies!

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
The cough is still there but mostly gone.  Kids were sniffly but nothing major there either.  I have developed a pinched nerve in my back...

What were my accomplishments this month?
I had a really good trail run and am looking forward to the upcoming half this month.  I did better at getting to the gym and even got to run outside a little bit.  My business goals are going so well- my team did over $14K in sales this month and I am promoting to Director next month, if all goes well for us!  I'm thrilled with that!

What were my disappointments this month?
Our time as a family suffered due to my husband's work schedule and my outside committments.  I needed the break and time away, but I am hoping this month isn't quite the same story.  And planning to change that as well.

Anything else noteworthy to include?
There was another more personal disappointment, but am trusting all things in God's timing and in His hands.  I'm also thankful that we met a great babysitter this month that I hope to utilize to continue my Disciple study in the face of my husband's upcoming deployment.
