It's another one of those weeks it's just the kids and me. Well, it'll be like that for a couple weeks. It is hard to cook when it's just you and children at home, but I find more than ever, if Daddy's gone, the kids need our routine of eating together. And I want them to have that habit long term. So, while I try, I'm far from perfect. Last TDY I didn't do so well so I'm really going to try this week. The other key to getting through these weeks is staying busy and out of our own house. Checking the parks and library website for free activities and then filling in the gaps is how I try to do it.
Menu:
Sunday- Grilled Cheese & tomato soup
Monday- White Bean Turkey Chili (This will make great leftovers for me for lunches)
Tuesday- Hamburger Helper
Wednesday- Homemade Chicken & Noodles
Thursday- Visiting Family for dinner
Friday- Nachos (like tacos but I use Nacho chips and melt the cheese in the broiler- yum!)
Saturday- Stuffed Shells (from my freezer, a small portion)
