What better way to celebrate my husband than to announce our meals for the week? After all, isn't the way to a man's heart through his stomach? I'm sort of kidding. My husband is an amazing man, father, partner, supporter, everything I dreamed of. And I am thrilled to be able to spend the day with him. When you're military, you know that any holiday/event spent at home shouldn't be taken for granted. As a side note, we watched The Hurt Locker
Anyway, on to the food! We didn't finish everything that I'd planned from last week, so this week will run something like this:
Breakfast this morning: Crock Pot Oatmeal
*I reduced the water to 3.5 cups and it was a bit sticky- the trick is really using STEEL CUT Oats
Monday: Chicken & Sausage Kabobs
Tuesday: Pork Roast (a la Pioneer Woman)
Wednesday: Baked "Fried" Chicken and Zucchini Parmesan Crisps
Thursday: Chicken Lasagna
Friday: Spaghetti & Meatballs
Saturday: Marinated Salmon Steaks (from Costco) and Couscous
