Project365: Week 42

Did you get that?  It's week 42.  There are 52 weeks in a year. :)

So, here's my page for this, the 42nd week in the year.

And the prompt was "Favorite Fall Memory"
I was thinking what I would write about when I was in the car, taking the kids to the Honeys so I could go to my party and “Final Countdown” came on the radio. Then, “We Will Rock You”. I realized I was driving to a party on a Friday night in Ohio... prime time for high school football.

I arrived and my hostess’s teenage son was heading out to go to an away game for his sc...hool.

*sigh*

Talk about memories...

My fingers started tapping the steering wheel as if I really remembered the fingering to those songs we used to play in the stands and my memory started to fade around the edges going back to those chilly, fall nights. The emotions and the drama and all the memories of high school romance played out under the radiance of the stadium lights.

I am not the same I was then. But I think we’d be friends.
