Operation Love {ReUnited} Page 1

Tough Times
I honestly love the kit I used from Dianne Rigdon- Sweet Liberty.  It's got just the right about of antique and I love that it's not overly in your face.

Operation Love Reunited is a huge positive for so many families.  They give us memories of our loved ones when we have to be apart and capture the moment when we get to be together again.

My photographer was phenomenal.  We did the pictures of the kids first and then she turned on a kids show and gave them (blue) suckers.  And asked me to put on my husband's coat.  I'm not an overly emotional woman at this point in my life aside from the normal pregnancy hormones.  I'm no longer a hopeless romantic (had my heart broken a few times and broke some myself).  I love my husband, but it's not that crazy, puppy love you get when you're 16 and we both recognize that.  It's deeper and goes way beyond that now.  But, right now, my focus is my home and family and not focusing on what I'm missing (my husband, my partner, my love) is powering me through.  So, when she asked me to put his coat on...  it was the first time I'd touched that fabric since he deployed (other than grabbing it in a flurry of activity before rushing out to our photo appointment that morning).  It was the first time I really let it sink in that we were past the halfway point and that at some point, I'd be getting the best hug in the world...  The one I've waited almost 7 months for.  And one that, once again, will have a growing baby in the middle...

  1. I have no idea how I've been missing your blog posts in my feed! I thought you were taking a hiatus with the holidays and baby and hubs being home! How are you doing all of this Wonder Woman? This post squeezed my heart. So glad you're all together again!
