Lift me Up Challenge!

Karla Dudley did this amazing linked lift challenge for anyone wanting to participate.  Who doesn't appreciate getting lifted by another scrapper? (For those who don't know, this means taking one of your LO's/designs and creating a page that's inspired by something you did- format, theme, colors, photo angle, something!)

I got the honor of lifting Pamela.

I was drawn to this page...
And here's my lift...  I had a rough week.  It's going to be another rough week.  I am thankful it could be worse.  But it doesn't mean it's not hard.

What I loved about Pamela's work was her use of self-portrait in many of her layouts.  But the depth of emotion and feeling she creates with the angle of the shot and then the way she adorns the page.  I used a smattering of Karla's kits in this layout including Fly Girl and Friends

In the spirit of "Lift me Up", I also want to share this refrain from our worship music this past Sunday at church.  Hard times come in all shapes, all forms and at the worst times in our lives.  I mean, is there a good time?  But these words are so true for all of our worries, cares, problems and concerns...

Breathe, just breathe
Take the world off your shoulders and put it on me
Breathe, just breathe
Let the life that you live be all that you need
~Lyrics to "Breathe" by Ryan Star

  1. I love your self portrait! The monochromatic color scheme is perfect.
