Month in Review: May

What books and/or magazines did I read this month?

I actually have been reading a lot this past month.  I read the Trylle Triology (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3) and also finished Chosen.  And most notable, I graduated from the Disciple I Bible study at church so I finished up that reading as well.

What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
I finally got around to watching The King's Speech.  Excellent.  I've been watching a lot of Criminal Minds ironically.  Though the one about the Facebook killers made me turn it off for the night.

What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
We had a great time at a Memorial Day BBQ with some friends.  We also enjoyed a few play dates with friends at the local parks now that the weather is just starting to cooperate.  I also hosted a Gold Canyon Candle party and am excited to get all my goodies from the consultant today!

What gifts did I give and/or receive?
I sent one crocheted dragon to a very special 2 year old.  But otherwise, nothing.  I did receive 2 cards from my husband.  And we sent 2 boxes to him, including his Father's Day gifts.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Nothing major or unusual has really popped up thankfully this month.  Invested in some new DS games (De Blob2 and Pinkalicious for the kids)

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I came down with another case of bronchitis requiring the inhaler thanks to my awesome war with Whooping Cough earlier this year.  And my son came down with strep really suddenly.  Thankfully they both reponded to antibiotics and we were better after we finished up the meds.

What were my accomplishments this month?
I finally managed to get us switched out of base health care.  And I got the squares cut and ordered for my son's quilt.  I'm excited to start working on it for him.  I also finished up about 12 more pages of our European Cruise scrapbook.  So, would love to actually finish and hit the ORDER button on it soon!  And businesswise, I am thrilled to have earned the $2000 Disney Gift Card incentive from Thirty-One!  My team performed well again and I had my first over $1000 party without it being a fundraiser!

What were my disappointments this month?
There were a few but nothing monumental and nothing earth shattering...  looking forward to just having one month behind us and staying positive about that.

Anything else noteworthy to include?
We were able to chat with Daddy on the computer which the kids did like.  :)
