How did I get started? Well, I gathered the 3 memory cards & 1 CD that all held images I knew I wanted to include as well as the journal I kept while on the ship and created 2 folders on my hard drive. One under my "Pictures" root which then was labeled "Disney Cruise 2010" and then a separate folder for each day of the cruise/vacation. I moved all the images pertaining to that day to its appropriate folder.
And I started scrapping, referencing the journal when memory fails.
I anticipate still ending up with a collage at the very end of random shots, but is awesome. I've scrapped 8 pages of our trip today in less than about 6 hours.
All kits come from Britt-Ish Designs and complete credits can be found in my TwoPeas gallery.
I've enjoyed looking at your new layouts, as always. One of my New Year's Resolutions, of sorts, is to scrapbook more. I've never done digital scrapbooking (I think I may have said that before.), but I'm interested. Question: Does your "book" stay online, or do you print it out? How? Thanks; I have a lot of questions, but your pages are very cute! I really like this format that contains so many pictures and so much information. I also like the idea of doing the Project 365 like the one you're doing.
ReplyDeleteThanks! This template set from Kelly is really, really great. I also love the set I'm using for P365 since it's really, really guided and I'm opting (for the sake of time) to leave the format as is on it.
ReplyDeleteI do print my books. You basically save each page as a jpg image and then upload to a photo site (I use Shutterfly) and then just load a book with single images for pages. Your page becomes the page on the book. It also allows for custom designing your covers and spine which I like.
I'll be posting my Gratitude project and Journal your Christmas projects soon (via Shutterfly share project) and you can see a little better what I mean. :) Thanks for the comment! And GL meeting your goal to scrap more. I never regret finding those moments of time to keep track of the stories.
Thank you! I really love the physical act of cutting and pasting with the other type of scrapbooking, but I love how efficient this is, how clean it looks, and I suppose it's also more environmentally friendly. :) Thanks again, I'm sure I'll pick your brain some more sometime.
